Historia de Arte and the Hispanic Heritage Art Portfolio, shown with their slides and workbooks

Two Ways to Stop Building Lessons From Scratch.

Hispanic Heritage Month just ended, and the second semester is already on its way. Either way, you need art, vocabulary, discussion questions, and writing prompts, and you need them soon.

This week, one purchase covers both. Historia de Arte is the system you reuse with any artwork all year. The Portfolio is seven sessions already built, ready the moment next September arrives.

1
A lesson that takes 30 minutes and one great artwork to teach, using the same five steps every time
2
Seven sessions that are already done: the stories, slides, discussion, and writing, ready for next Hispanic Heritage Month or any month
3
One artwork that works from Spanish 1 through AP, with four student levels built into the prompts
4
Bilingual scripts and sentence starters, so you can lead it even if Spanish isn’t your first language
5
Students speaking and writing in Spanish in every session, not completing worksheets

Here’s What You Get.

Historia de Arte: the Interactive Slides, Vocabulary Menu, Student Notebook, and Discussion Guide
You buy: $197

Historia de Arte

Turn any artwork into a Spanish lesson, every time you teach.

You pick the artwork. The system supplies the structure.

  • 4-Part Walkthrough: 16 text lessons, from choosing your artwork to wrapping up your unit
  • Discussion Guide: bilingual teacher prompts, with sentence starters for four student levels
  • Interactive Slides: a customizable template you fill with any artist and artwork
  • Vocabulary Menu: about 300 Spanish and English word boxes, sorted by step and level
  • Teacher Toolkit: a Google Sheet with a lesson plan table and a Unit Tracker
  • Student Notebook: where students set goals, draw from memory, and write
  • Free bonus, Storytelling through Art: find the story in an artwork before you teach it
The Hispanic Heritage Art Portfolio: the Interactive Slides, Reading Book, and Writing Book, in bilingual and Spanish-only editions
You get free: regular price $197

Hispanic Heritage Art Portfolio

Seven artists. Seven Spanish lessons. Every one already built.

Open any session and teach. The stories, slides, discussion, and writing are done.

  • Seven artists, eight artworks: Velázquez, Goya, Picasso, Dalí, Rivera, Kahlo, and Botero
  • Reading Book / Libro de lectura: the story of the Hispanic world and of each artist, in bilingual and Spanish-only editions
  • Writing Book / Cuaderno de escritura: a summary, a comment, and a conclusion for every artist, in bilingual and Spanish-only editions
  • 160 Interactive Slides: ready to teach, with Spanish and English support
  • A how-to lesson for every resource, plus a free Book Menu
  • Mi historia del mundo hispano: the piece students finish with, written in their own words

Start With a Finished Lesson. Then Teach Your Own.

1
Teach a Portfolio session first. Pick any of the seven artists. Everything is prepared, and you see how the five steps run in a real class.
2
Choose your own artwork. Open Historia de Arte, pick any artist or artwork, and follow the same steps.
3
Keep it all in one system. The Portfolio runs through your Historia de Arte Interactive Slides and Vocabulary Menu, so every lesson looks and works the same.

This Is for You If…

  • You teach Spanish to a class, a co-op, a tutoring group, or your own family
  • You want students speaking and writing, not completing worksheets
  • You want art and culture units without building them from scratch
  • You want to bring something beautiful into your lessons
  • Spanish isn’t your first language, and you want scripted prompts to lean on

This is not for you if:

You want to teach art history. These are Spanish lessons, and the art gives students words to use.

You want video lessons. The walkthroughs are text, and the files are Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets.

What Teachers Say

“It is EXTENSIVE. Not only for the artistic component, but as a repository of vocabulary.”

“…these words turn my students’ writing into another level of sophistication.”

Here’s What I Am, and What I’m Not.

I’m not a credentialed academic, and I want to say that upfront. I’ve spent a lot of my life in classrooms: homeschool rooms, co-ops, and substitute assignments, plus 20+ years living bilingually in Spanish.

I built Historia de Arte so any artwork gives your students something real to look at, describe, and write about. The Portfolio is that system with seven artists and all the work already done.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the offer work?

You buy Historia de Arte for $197, and the Hispanic Heritage Art Portfolio is added to your order at no charge. You get lifetime access to both, instantly, in your members area.

Is the Portfolio only for Hispanic Heritage Month?

No. It was made for Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept 15 to Oct 15), and it works any time of year as a unit on art, history, and culture.

Can I use these if Spanish isn’t my first language?

Yes. The Discussion Guide has bilingual teacher prompts, and the Reading and Writing Books each come in a bilingual edition and a Spanish-only edition.

What levels do they work for?

They’re built for middle school through AP. The prompts are open-ended, so a beginner writes one sentence and an advanced student writes a paragraph about the same artwork.

Is this a course with videos?

No. The walkthroughs are text lessons. The files are Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets, and each one arrives as a make-a-copy link, so every copy is yours to edit.

Is it only for classrooms?

No. Homeschool families, tutors, and co-ops are included. Teaching a class or group as one teacher? Add the one-time group license at checkout: $99 for 1 to 30 students, or $250 for 31 or more.

Can I ask a question before I buy?

Yes. Email [email protected] and we’ll answer it.
